Everyone is so nice and carrying! Cherrydale Acute Care took excellent care of my brother BJ. The therapists coached him back mentally, physically and nutritionally to the way my family remembered him years ago. When I say they take pride in helping one’s family member, they really excels. The cleanest is very good and the nurses at all levels are exceptional and this also includes the administration staff when you first walk in. Yes, it is really a 5 star facility and we would suggest Cherrydale Acute upper management review their pay and benefits and be competitive with other top notch facilities, seriously! My brother is back to his independence and my family gives thanks to Cherrydale. Invest funds in the employees and the facilities which can only guarantee success. Thanks Cherrydale.

Cherrydale is a 5 star Acute Health Center and everyone from the staff, nurses and physical therapist are great!
Our family has been with the facility for 11 years. After my family and the staff built a relationship with the safe, it’s been a good fit for our family. Thanks for making the Bowens’s family life easier assisting my parents.

I have been a long resident to this facility. A long the way I have met some amazing people. The staff is amazing they are very transparent. I’d like to recognize some of them by name if I may Cheyenne, Gina and Jennifer the wonderful job they did making me feel like I was at home at all times. Also the nurse practitioner Angela did a wonderful job assuring that I got the proper medicine as needed. I can go on and on about the wonderful physical therapy team / O T staff this facility have.I should recognize Jay ,Angie , Brian,Karel the wonderful job they do.The OT staff Suzie,Hanna,Casey is simply amazing. I also want to recognize Nakayla she’s the medical record Director and HIP Professional ..The nurses and CNA’S here are absolutely amazing.

Administration of this facility works hard to keep service on high level. They listen to the opinion and desires of people and do everything possible to please them. The kitchen fo delisious food. Great facility to live there!

encourage constructive feedback to drive positive change. While this facility has potential, its aged infrastructure and unpleasant odors beyond the entrance are noticeable. Staff members appear disengaged, which is understandable on tough days, but it’s crucial to remember that nurses are often the primary point of contact for patients. I suggest investing in customer service training and encouraging the DON to take a more active role in overseeing daily operations. It’s concerning that some staff members seem unfamiliar with patient care plans. Consistent issues with showers, water, and food quality have also been a challenge for my loved one. Fortunately, a kind and attentive outsider friend ensured her well-being when family couldn’t be present due to being in a different state and she took the heat from a few staff members with simply asking for my love one. I hope this feedback inspires meaningful improvements. “Remember a person will forget what you did but not how you made them feel” Maya Angelou

Should be able to give zero stars. In less than 18 hours, this facility is complicit in almost killing my father. My mother and I visited him, on his second day there, and he was so dehydrated that he was unable to speak. We had to call an ambulance and have him moved to St. Francis Downtown. where they saved his life. This facility needs to be shut down by the state of SC.

Failure to meet standard of care, especially regarding bathing. Let a patient go for ten days without being washed, until family was able to come in and bathe her themselves. Hygiene is medically necessary, and if she would have gotten infections from their breach, she would be in grave danger. I hate to see what they let patients without families go through. Shame to this facility for neglecting the vulnerable. Get it together.

The staff on 500 hall was real friendly and pleasant today. Didn’t pay anything. My mother seems to be happy with the staff.

We appreciate so much all the care that Mr. David Tims received while he was here. Especially the nurses on the 600 wing. Herbert was always so kind and helpful. The CNA’s always sweet and helpful. The front office as well. Thanks to all. Gloria Tims. Mr Tims wife.

If I had an option for a negative star that would be my rating. My mom was in here for two months. St. Francis got her better but she needed some PT. We were supposed to get weekly updates. I received two over the two months. One excuse was it was nurses week one week and I cannot remember what the other was. I finally just didn’t worry about asking about the updates. Big freaking deal if it is nurses week. Most of these nurses here doesn’t deserve a pat on the back. I can say a handful of the nurses were great, she did have her favorites. But, others seems like she was a bother. She can’t do anything on her own and when she needed something it took forever to get someone in, but she could hear them laughing at the desk. They just ignore the patients. Once I was told to leave a message for Chris about her not going to a doctors appointment. Needless to say I am still waiting on him to call me back. They come in the room with an attitude like they hate being at work. If you hate it that much find another job, it is not the patients fault if you hate your job or co-workers. It stinks of pee all the time. Needs updated very bad. They never have enough of supplies. They sent her home on a Friday, still unable to walk and unable to go to the bathroom on her own. Saturday she was back in the hospital in worse condition then she was when she first went in. They knew she had fluid built up because of her legs swelling up but did nothing about it. Come to find out she also has fluid on her lungs as well. She has no movement on one side, this happened while she was their. She asked them if they thought she had a mild stroke. They replied as “maybe” never did any test or anything. Doctors will not talk to family member at all. They even had someone come in to talk to them about insurance. Most of them do not understand or cannot remember. They changed her insurance without us knowing about it. I really wish I could speak to that gentlemen that did the changing of insurance because it would not be good. Now that is a big sweet mess for us to fix. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THESE PEOPLE. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN. ANY HOSTIAL THAT SENDS PEOPLE HERE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELF AND THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE SHOULD BE ASHAMED.
I love this place! The staff is wonderful, professional and friendly. The food is not good as Mama’s, but whose is? Therapies and therapists are creative and focused on the recovery of the residents. Activities are varied and enjoyable. The shower rooms are clean with no messy smells. 10/10 would highly recommend!

I was here for wound care recently and can’t say enough positive things about my care. While it’s not perfect, the staff went out of their way to show me love and made sure I was taken care of. Cheyenne came to see me at the hospital and made me feel comfortable before I was transferred. I really appreciate everyone and how they care.

After two weeks of rehab our son, Todd is going home. So thankful for the care that was given to him. When he got there I honestly didn’t think he would be able to do any PT but they work miracles with him. The staff was there for him. I will recommend this place to anyone. Thanks for putting a Mom at ease and taking care of our son. You are rock stars to me.

I am sharing on behalf of my husband Garry, while Cheyenne was nice and pleasant, she did not tell us how bad it would be when he came home. No Happy families pictures here. Cherrydale is unclean, the food is miserable, poorly cooked, unidentifiable, and not enough to feed a 3 year old. I had to take food to him or he used DoorDash, totaling $500. There is not enough physical therapy for the patients to return to near normal. So he cannot walk, even with a walker and scoots it along. They sent my husband home unable to walk, unable to get into our home without someone pushing him, he cannot get up the stairs to bed. I sent pictures of our stairs with height and width and number, clearly no one paid attention. They had 4 months to get him walking on his own. He would have been better off if ST Francis has let him come home instead of forcing us to send him to Cherrydale. It was sensory deprivation, he didn’t have a working TV the whole time. He has spent the last 2 days in a chair wearing a diaper. They didn’t ever put regular underwear on him and help him learn to use the toilet again. He is like trying to toilet train a child at 74. I WOULD NEVER SEND A LOVE ONE TO THAT PLACE. THEY AUGHT TO BE SHUT DOWN. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY.
We love Cherrydale Post-Acute. My nephew is in there after multiple strokes. The staff is exceptional and caring. They’ve worked closely with us involving his care and treatment. They’ve gone above when compared to his previous facility. I highly recommend them to care for your family in the same way you would care for them
